Robert Quartermain was instrumental in the discovery, acquisition and development of several economic deposits as CEO of junior companies affiliated with Teck Corporation, including the David Bell mine in Ontario's Hemlo gold camp, the Pirquitas mine in Argentina, and the Brucejack mine in British Columbia.
